ABOUT

The Hokkaido Space Summit is a space business conference held at the Hokkaido Spaceport (HOSPO).

Now in its fifth year, this year’s theme is: “Hokkaido: A Stage for Bold Challenges. Let’s Envision the Future of Space.”

We aim to build a thriving cluster of space-related industries in Hokkaido, centered around HOSPO a spaceport capable of frequent rocket launches. Achieving this vision requires even greater participation from companies and stakeholders.

Today, rocket development, test launches, and experiments are actively taking place in Hokkaido. With strong tailwinds from national and regional government support, the space industry is poised for significant growth.

At the Hokkaido Space Summit 2025, we will host talk sessions and lectures on topics including current space policies, the state of the industry, trends in overseas spaceports, regional revitalization through space infrastructure, and the cultivation of space professionals.

We hope to share the vast potential of Hokkaido’s space industry and inspire many to become active contributors in shaping the future of space.

STATMENT

From launch pads and runways, a variety of rockets are taking flight.
Anchored by the spaceport, the space industry is beginning to take shape across the vast lands of Hokkaido.

The future envisioned by pioneers 40 years ago is now steadily evolving into reality.

Taiki Town, Hokkaido
This region boasts world-class conditions for next-generation space industries: terrain suitable for diverse launch trajectories, expansive land, and a high percentage of clear skies.
The foundation is in place, and momentum is growing.

At the heart of it all are those who continue to challenge boundaries?and those who support them.

This is the stage where dreams of space become reality.
Through the launch of rockets and satellites, HOSPO will integrate into industry and everyday life, expanding a ring of prosperity from the region to the world.

Let’s draw the contours of the future.
From Hokkaido, let’s design the spaceport?and the business beyond it?together with the world.
